Farnsley Fishing Club closed out its inaugural fall season with a field trip to Cherokee Lake for an afternoon of fishing, learning, and team bonding. For many of our students, it was their first time fishing at a large lake, and they enjoyed every moment—from casting lines to learning new techniques and spending time outdoors with teammates. This trip was the perfect way to celebrate a successful launch of the Fishing Club, which quickly became one of our most popular new activities this fall. Students not only built casting skills, but also learned patience, problem-solving, and sportsmanship—qualities that carry over into the classroom and beyond. A special thank-you goes to Coach Ross and Mr. Rochelle for spearheading FMS first Fishing Club and creating such a memorable experience for our students. Their leadership, planning, and passion for the outdoors made this club possible and provided our Wildcats with a unique opportunity to explore a new hobby in a positive, structured environment. We look forward to growing the program and seeing even more Wildcats on the water this spring.
