At Farnsley Middle School, we proudly believe in Student First…Athlete Second, and our student-athletes continue to set the standard in the classroom. During the first semester of the 2025–26 school year, Farnsley student-athletes earned an overall combined GPA of 3.43, demonstrating a strong commitment to academic excellence while balancing the demands of athletics. While Jefferson County Public Schools does not publish a single districtwide middle school GPA average, available district and state benchmarks suggest that the typical middle school GPA ranges between 2.7 and 3.0. Farnsley student-athletes exceeded that benchmark by a significant margin, reflecting the culture of accountability, consistency, and academic pride within our athletic programs. First Semester Team GPA Highlights * Volleyball – 3.608 * Cross Country – 3.598 * Tennis – 3.592 * Girls Basketball – 3.516 * Softball – 3.461 * Cheer – 3.435 * Golf – 3.416 * Archery – 3.416 * Indoor Track – 3.349 * Dance – 3.347 * Baseball – 3.341 * Swim – 3.319 * Boys Basketball – 3.298 * Football – 3.292 This academic success is directly aligned with the Wildcat Scholar-Athlete Cup, an initiative designed to promote responsibility, academic accountability, and team pride across all athletic seasons. Through weekly grade checks, academic recognition, and team-based incentives, the Scholar-Athlete Cup reinforces that success in competition starts with success in the classroom. Our coaches, teachers, and families play a critical role in supporting this work, but the credit belongs to our student-athletes who continue to rise to the challenge and represent Farnsley with pride. We are proud of our Wildcats for proving that excellence is not limited to the field or court — it is a daily commitment in the classroom.
