August 24–29 Week in Review Important Notice: Extreme Heat Protocol Due to extreme heat, outdoor practices and contests will be adjusted this week to ensure the health and safety of our student-athletes and coaches! Monday, Tuesday, & Friday: Outdoor games and practices will be pushed back to 6:00 PM or later. Student-athletes will go home their normal way after school, and practice times will be communicated directly by each team's head coach. Wednesday & Thursday: All outdoor games and practices have been canceled. Wildcat Defense Big Again! The Wildcat defense set the tone early when Moses Moore kicked off the scoring with a huge first-quarter interception returned for a touchdown. Davion Morris added to the momentum later in the game, capitalizing on a forced fumble caused by Tristin Johnson and Zion Trotter for a crucial score. The defense remained dominant all day, anchored by additional interceptions from both Moses Moore and Char'Dez Morris. On offense, the Wildcats ground out relentless rushing yards thanks to hard-nosed runs from Rodriquez Montgomery, Gregory Miller, TaGeon Malone, and Tristin Johnson—all made possible by dominant blocking up front from the offensive line. An outstanding team effort all around! Big congratulations to our players and coaches. Morgeson and Medley Lead Cross Country Team Over the last two weeks, Cross Country recognized top performances from Andrew Morgeson (Team Athlete of the Week for August 17) and Eva Medley (Team Athlete of the Week for August 24). Two Golfers Score New Career Bests! The Golf team has had a strong, highly competitive season this year, staying right in the mix during every match. Volleyball Gets Two Big Wins in Week 2 The Lady Wildcats had a strong Week 2, picking up a big road win at Ramsey before hosting a tough JCTMS team and defeating them in two straight games. Next up, they will be on the road at Westport on Monday and will host Barret on Wednesday. Tennis Set to Start Season The Farnsley Tennis team will compete at the Southwest Government Center this week, taking on Crosby on Tuesday and Brown on Thursday.
