The F.A.N. (Sep 7 – Sep 12 Week in Review) Cross Country Athlete of the Week! A huge shoutout to Matthew Jones for being named our Athlete of the Week! Matthew earned an impressive 5th-place finish at this week's JCPS meet, running a team-best time of 16:48. Football Back in Action: The Farnsley Wildcat football team showed incredible heart this week, coming up just short in a hard-fought contest. The offense delivered explosive plays, highlighted by Tristian’s electrifying 90-yard touchdown run, which followed Nyking Williams' 1-yard touchdown punch at the goal line. Defensively, Jeremiah Jones anchored the front line with 3 solo tackles for loss, helping force 3 fumble recoveries alongside a clutch interception by Moses Moore. Special teams also made a massive impact, with Wyatt Risen’s exceptional kicking and punting consistently pinning the opposition deep in their own territory. Despite the close loss, the Wildcats proved their toughness and total team effort. Golf Shoutouts! Big congratulations to Declan Lindsay and Trevor French for hitting personal bests on the course! Declan Lindsay broke 60 for the first time with an impressive 59, and Trevor French shot a season-best round of 54! Great work to both golfers for putting in the practice and staying dedicated to improving their game every week. Tennis Opens with a Win: A huge shoutout to Sungju Go and Carlos Trevino for bringing home a doubles win this week! Both players put forth their absolute best effort on the court, showing impressive teamwork and determination to secure the victory. Volleyball Looking for Tournament Success: Big congratulations to our 6th-grade volleyball team for taking down both Grace James and Kammerer this week! With these two big victories, the squad is officially in the hunt for the #1 seed heading into the end-of-season tournament. Make sure to mark your calendars—8th Grade Night is this Wednesday! Come out, bring the noise, and help us celebrate our 8th-grade athletes as they take the court. Keep up the high energy and finish strong.
