This week's 8th Grade Night Schedule: Baseball: Wednesday, September 23rd vs. Lassiter at 7:15 PM (at PRP High School) Softball: Wednesday, September 23rd vs. Lassiter at 7:35 PM (at PRP High School) Football: Saturday, September 26th vs. Conway at 12:00 PM (at Doss High School) Archery Update: There will be an interest meeting this week after school for those students interested in taking part in Archery this season. The date and time will be announced on Monday via email, text and on our Instagram page and Athletics web page. This Week's Basketball Tryouts: Times for this week's tryouts may change due to the schedule for the post season volleyball tournament. Monday - Boys Basketball Open Gym from 4:30 to 6:00 PM. Tuesday - Girls Basketball Day 1 of Tryouts from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Wednesday - Boys Basketball 6th Grade Tryouts from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Thursday -Girls Basketball Day 2 of Tryouts from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Friday - Boys Basketball 7th & 8th Grade Tryouts from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Baseball: The Baseball team managed to get several games in during the recent heat wave and currently holds a 5-2-1 record. They will look to finish the season strong when they play Lassiter on Wednesday, with the regular season wrapping up after fall break. Cross Country: The Cross Country team has wrapped up the JCPS regular season and will compete in the JCPS Championship meet on Monday, September 21st, at Charlie Vettiner Park. The team is currently ranked 3rd in the county and is aiming for several top-15 finishes to bring home a trophy. Football: The Farnsley Football team dropped a close game in the heat on Saturday. The defense delivered a standout performance with two fumble recoveries and several crucial fourth-down stops. On offense, the team was led by Nyking Williams and Tristin Johnson, who both scored rushing touchdowns. The team will face rival Conway in the JV game on Thursday at FMS, followed by the Varsity game on Saturday at 12:00 PM at Doss High School. Golf: Despite having several matches canceled over the last two weeks due to the heat, the Golf team returns to action this week. They face Crosby at home on Tuesday before traveling to Quail Chase on Thursday to play Noe. With several players coming off season-best scores, the team is looking to close out the regular season strong. Tennis: After heat-related cancellations, the Tennis team returns to action this week with matches against Western on Tuesday and Ramsey on Thursday. Both matches will take place on the Wildcats' home courts at the Southwest Government Center. Softball: Following an extended break caused by heat cancellations, the Lady Wildcats Softball team faces a busy week with games against Grace James, Lassiter, Moore, and Noe. They host games at PRP on Tuesday and Wednesday before traveling to Moore and Noe to round out the week. Volleyball: Both the 6th grade and JV volleyball teams qualified for the postseason and begin tournament play this week. The JV team opens at Noe on Monday, while the 6th grade team takes on Lassiter on Tuesday. Good luck in the tournament, ladies!
